Pond erosion was mitigated with PLI’s civil construction crews on the job.

Erosion concerns were rising at the pond behind this local insulation manufacturing plant. PLI came to the aid of Johns Manville with civil construction services. From the onset of the erosion issue PLI staff worked with Johns Manville employees to assess the situation and provide the most cost-efficient option to solve the issue. Our crews managed the pond water and drainage while grading 3,300 square yards of slope on both ends of the pond. We imported 1,700 tons of fill dirt and compacted it into place. Rip rap rock was then toed in at the base and placed midway up the bank to prevent further erosion.
